Community Health Network (CHN) held its Annual Meeting for members on Tuesday, January 14th at Grace Lutheran Church in Berlin.
Dr. Wayne Klepinger, Chairman of CHN's Nominating Committee, submitted three incumbents Mike Chier, Berlin; Steve Sorenson, Ripon; and James Clark, Markesan; to the membership for consideration. After a vote, all three incumbents were re-elected to the Board.
In addition to the incumbents, the CHN Board of Directors roster for 2003 includes: Henry Derleth, Berlin; Jodi Timler, Green Lake; Richard Reese, Wautoma; Terry Kohlman, Princeton; Fred Gellerup, Wautoma; Dr. Roger Kjentvet, Wild Rose; Dr. Mary Leikness, Wautoma; and James Roberts, Green Lake. CHN Board of Directors positions are three-year terms and are representative of CHN service area communities.
The membership also approved an amendment to CHN's Bylaws, as recommended by the Board of Directors, which established a specific date and time which proxy ballots should be returned prior to the Annual Meeting.
CHN Volunteer Services Council member Cathy Schmidt provided an overview of her respective organization’s highlights of 2002. The group of 214 active volunteers provided more than 9,800 hours of service last year, equating to approximately $137,704 estimated fair market value for those hours worked.
The meeting adjourned with refreshments and camaraderie.
For the same $2 fee that was assessed in 1911, CHN Membership is open to all residents, ages 18 and older, of the organization’s service area (defined as Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, and portions of Winnebago and Fond du Lac Counties). Membership enrollment materials and copies of the CHN Annual Report are available by calling CHN Corporate Services at (920)361-5580 or 1-800-236-1283 x 5580.
