Berlin Memorial Hospital to offer weekend
Prepared
Childbirth classes starting in November
(Berlin)—Recognizing the busy schedules of their
patients, the staff of Berlin Memorial Hospital’s Family Birth Center will offer two weekend childbirth classes in
November.
The first
day-long session of Prepared Childbirth
will take place on Saturday, November 8th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the BMH Lower Level Meeting Rooms. A second session will be held
on Saturday, November 15th.
Prepared
Childbirth teaches mothers-to-be and their ‘coaches’ relaxation and pain management
techniques, as well as explaining the labor and delivery process, to promote a
positive birth experience. The class also focuses on the early newborn period
and instructs parents-to-be in providing the best care for their new baby.
Class instructors
are Jeanne Shead, RN, BSN and ICCE and Shelley Siewert, PCE.
Registrations for Prepared Childbirth can be made by calling
(920)361-5521; there is a fee.
