Regina Randall retires after 66 years service at Berlin Memorial Hospital

Open House in her honor December 23rd

(BERLIN)-Community Health Network’s (CHN) very own historian and most tenured employee, Regina Randall, is experiencing another milestone in her 66 years of dedicated employment service: retirement.

Regina began her employment with CHN on September 6th, 1937 – working in the Business Office at the original Berlin Memorial Hospital (BMH) location downtown.

After her first 30 years of employment, she helped begin the hospital’s first Medical Records Department and completed her education to become an Accredited Records Technician. At the time of her retirement, she was still serving in that capacity in the department known today as “Health Information Services.”

“Regina’s knowledge, dedication and spirit of service to others have been evident through our growth from one hospital serving Berlin to the family of regional services CHN is today,” said Tom Krystowiak, CHN’s Vice President of Finance. “Her commitment, compassion and loyalty to our organization will be sorely missed.”

The community is invited to honor Regina as she begins retirement during an Open House event from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23rd in the Berlin Memorial Hospital lobby, 225 Memorial Drive.

A more detailed story highlighting Regina’s career with CHN will be released at a later date.
