CHN physicians
achieve Board Certification in family practice
(BERLIN)—The American Board of Family Practice has
announced the certification of Craig Batley, DO and David Budde, DO, family
practitioners for Community Health Network, effective December 5th,
2003.
In order to achieve certification as a Diplomate
of the American Board of Family Practice, a qualifying physician must possess a
valid license, complete 36-months of residency training and pass a rigorous
written examination. Re-certification is required every seven years.
With special interests in preventative medicine and sports-related
injuries, Drs. Batley and Budde joined CHN in September – serving patients of
all ages at CHN’s Associated Family Physicians clinic on the Berlin Memorial Hospital campus. The physicians also provide weekly
obstetrical coverage on Thursday’s at CHN’s Green Lake Family Practice, located
in the Green Lake Medical Building at the Hwy 23/49 intersection.
A graduate of the Des
Moines University–Osteopathic Medical Center,
Dr. Batley earned his bachelor degree in natural sciences-biochemistry from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his residency in family practice
at the Via Christi Family Practice Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas,
where he achieved specialized training in obstetrics, pediatrics, adolescent,
adult and geriatric care, caesarean sections and endoscopy
procedures.
Also a graduate of the Des
Moines University –Osteopathic Medical Center,
Dr. Budde completed his undergraduate studies in environmental health at Colorado State University in Fort
Collins. He served his residency as
Administrative Chief Resident at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley,
where he completed a comprehensive family practice program and specialized
training in caesarean sections and endoscopy
procedures.
Community Health Network is a
continuum of healthcare services which includes Berlin Memorial Hospital, Juliette Manor, Juliette Terrace,
Partners Family Pharmacy, CHN Rehabilitation and Occupational Health, and the
CHN Medical Group, consisting of more than 110 multi-specialty providers
serving nearly 20 community clinics. Community Health Network is further
affiliated with Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital.
